When you book me you won't just get a photographer, you'll get an entertainer, a pack mule, hair tucker, a calm amongst the chaos and hopefully at the end you'll gain a friend. I genuinely love what I do and love creating magic for all my wonderful clients. I have the ability to take the much feared awkwardness away and what you end up with are authentic and real images. No stiff posing. No saying cheese to the camera. So what you waiting for?

FAQ

How can i book in a session?

Fill out the online form and give me an idea of what you're looking for. Once we've agreed a date, you will receive a session quote and invoice for your deposit. The remaining balance will be payable once your gallery is available

What should we wear on the day?

This is something that is frequently asked. I love to help my families prepare for their shoot so here are a few tips.
Choosing the best colours and textures are key as you want to be complimentary to one another. If possible stick to muted tones and avoid bright colours and slogans.
Ultimately you want to feel comfortable so if you have something special that you want to wear then build the families outfits around it. You want to be able to relate to the people in the photograph so make sure they show off your personalities. I will provide a blanket and take into consideration the location we are shooting at. Will your outfit restrict you from having fun?

How long until we can view our pictures?

Generally the turn around time is two weeks but this could be longer during peak times. I will aim to get your photos out as soon as possible and on occasion will give a sneak peak on my social platforms before they are ready to get you excited!

When is the best time to have a session?

I'm a light junkie so the best times to take photos are either early in the morning or during golden hour as the light is soft and magical.

How can i prepare my children for a late night shoot?

Kids tend to get a little grumpy after 5pm so i would recommend bringing along snacks, comforters, toys. Anything that might distract them. You could keep them updated on their 'late night adventure' so that they are excited for it. Late naps are always good, or if they no longer nap just have a nice slow day.

What happens if rain is forecast?

I will keep a constant eye on the weather as we don't want to have to rearrange the shoot if we can help it. As you can imagine the Cornish weather is very unpredictable and can change in an instant. If you'd prefer to reschedule or take a risk and see if we have any breaks in the weather i'm happy to do that. Believe it or not really sunny days are the worst types of conditions and a grey cloudy day can make for some beautiful images

Are your shots posed?

Whilst I don't make people stand there and say cheese, I do offer some light direction. In order to get the pictures you want, there is an element of staging but once I have you in position I just let the rest of the magic unfold. If I see a nice pocket of light then I will aim to get you to take full advantage of that

How do i view the photos from my session?

Once your gallery is ready I will send you a link to select your images and you can then download them straight to your computer or phone. As they are high resolution images you can print them off or if you would prefer you can purchase separate prints in your personal online store.

What happens if my child doesn't behave?

I get it, kids are kids. They might not always be on their best behaviour and we have to accommodate for the fact that they might not be interested in having their photo taken. I would avoid asking them to look at the camera or threats to behave themselves. Distraction is key and relaxing your usual rules helps! We know when to pick our battles, am i right!?
